I have followed Neil for personal reasons ( – our brother Andrew died of MND on 1/1/11 he would have been proud of the date) for quite a while now and always check back on my favourites bar for sentimental reasons. Andrew did not want to know Neil had died as he knew he would not be far behind him but he was 22 months of struggle and it was a long and painfull journey. I hope that your media highlights and may prevent just 1 other having to take those same frustrating steps as we have. You can laugh at the utilities but you also cry.

Thank you for this brief look into the film that you have made. Neil was my nephew & we all miss him terribly & although it makes me cry it’s lovely to see & hear him. I would really like to know if/when this film is going to be shown on TV as this dreadful illness needs more publizing and bringing to the attention of everyone.

My Heart goes out to first of all, to Neil Platt for his wonderful bravery and sense of humour on facing up to eventual demise. Then to Louise and family for their love and support in helping Neil through this awful time, and for everyone involved in his care! I sadly lost my wife Marion to M.N.D. after she was diagnosed in 2005. Marion passed away on 28th June 2009 after years fighting the illness with great dignity and selfless good humour, also like Neil with this truly amazing bravery throughout. With never complaint as to why me ,sort of thing and only thinking of how i would cope after losing her. Marion was 59 years old and we had 41 years of marriage, and i count myself a lucky man to have loved her so much, right to the end here on earth and hopefully god willing beyond! Dougie with Love x

Dear Morag and Emma
Thank you so much for making this film. Neil was my friend. He was a kind, loving, extremely witty man who didn’t deserve to die so young. Thank you for making this documentary to highlight MND and the research in to it. Lets hope and pray that this film brings forward more interest and backing in to such valuable work. Would love to see the finished film as this 3 minutes had me crying my eyes out, not just because it shows Neil, but because it shows what distruction MND can do to a perfectly healthy life and family.

This has been a hard road for you, I know because my Husband also has ALS/MND, RE: trailer it is amazing and I will want to watch more, as to the phone company I instantly could picture the bloke on the other end of the phone and his facial expressions whilst being told the reason for disconnection.

I love Edinburgh, my mum lives there I used to live there & miss the closeness of my scottish family :0)
